Catherine L. Moore

Catherine L. Moore, age 96, of Iron River, MI, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay, WI. She was born on June 4, 1923, in Iron Mountain, MI, the daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa (Becco) Carlotto. She attended the Crystal Falls High School, graduating with the Class of 1940. Catherine married Joseph Moore on October 13, 1945 at the Guardian Angels Catholic Church of Crystal Falls. The couple celebrated their 72nd anniversary in 2017, before Joseph’s passing on June 8, 2018. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River and a past member St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed baking, painting, drawing, sewing, knitting and creative writing.  Catherine is survived by her son, Joseph (Bonnie) Moore of Fairborn, OH; daughters, Cathy (Robert) Revenaugh of East Tawas, MI, Jerilynn Lopez of Bay City, MI and Janet (Joseph) Moberg of Green Bay, WI; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; several great grandchildren; extended family and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Diana Moore and sister, Delores McMullen. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from 9:30 to 11:15am at Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 11:30am with Rev. Gregory Veneklase to officiate.
