Ceceil Zielinski

Mrs. Ceceil Zielinski, age 87 of Iron River, MI, died Thursday November 5, 2009 at the Northstar Health System, Iron River. Born: June 12, 1922, Baltic Location, Gaastra, MI The daughter of the late Alphonse and Bessie (Johnston) Rhino was a life long resident of the area. She attended the Stambaugh schools, graduating with the Class of 1940. She married Joseph W. Zielinski and the couple made their home in Iron River; he preceded her in death on April 10, 1976. She was employed for 12 years at the American Motors/Coleman Plant in Iron River, retiring in 1986 when the plant closed. Ceceil was an active member of St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River volunteering for any activity needed. She was also a member of the St Agnes Altar Society, the Daughters of Isabella and the Rosary Sodality. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Rhino. She is survived by her son, John (Bonnie) Zielinski of Mackinaw City,MI Daughter, Jean Zielinski of Plymouth, MI Five grandchildren and three great grandchildren Visitation: Monday, November 9, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. A Liturgical Prayer Service will be conducted at 6:45 p.m. Funeral Service: Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Iron River with the Rev. Norman Clisch, Pastor, to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. The Ladies of the Rosary Sodality will form an honor guard at the funeral service.
