Constance Vicklund

Constance ""Connie"" C. Vicklund, age 80 of Marquette, MI (formerly of Iron River, MI), passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at her home. Born: February 4, 1931 in Stambaugh, MI The daughter of the late John and Veronica (Swiderski) Panek attended the Iron River Schools, graduating in 1949 then entering the Columbus Hospital Nursing Program in Chicago, IL. She received her Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education from Northern Michigan University. She was employed as a service advisor for Michigan Bell for many years, retiring in 1974. On March 1, 1974, Connie married Richard Vicklund in Pearle River, NY; Richard preceded her in death in 1978. She was a member of the St. Agnes Catholic Church. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Panek. Survived by one son, Donald (Susan) Bianchi, Marquette, MI One daughter, Karen Bianchi, Toronto, Canada Three grandchildren, Donald Jr. and Michelle Bianchi Jessica (Jeremy) Tierney Three great grandchildren, Felix, Zoe and Piper Tierney Memorial Service: Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River with Rev. Kevin Kaiser to officiate.
