Craig E. Barker

Craig E. Barker, age 57, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa, WI. He was born on June 9, 1965, in Kenosha, WI, the son of the late Charles and Ila (Jacobs) Barker. Craig married Theresa Verville on May 28, 2018, at the Mansfield Pioneer Church in Mansfield, MI. The couple made their home in Iron River. He was employed as a maintenance technician at Connor Sports in Amasa, MI. Craig enjoyed being outside, fishing and hunting, and spending time with his family. He also adored his dogs. Luna and Bailey. Craig is survived by his wife, Theresa; sons, Joseph (Laura) Barker of Caspian, MI and Devyn Engel of Iron River, MI; daughter, Sarah (Randy Salo) Barker of Iron River, MI; brothers, Buddy (Kathy) Barker of Kenosha, WI; sister, Cheryl (Gerry) Bonn of Franklin, WI and Mary (Mike) Spencer of Alvin, WI; grandchildren, Zane Barker, Ella Orchard, and Rosalie Salo; extended family and friends. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Kayla Barker; son, Christopher Barker; brothers, Chuck and Gregory Barker; sisters, Barbara “Barbie” Parker, Sue Alsteen, and Brenda Wells; and the mother of his children, Christine Ritchie. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Iron River Bible Church. Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Kraig Tass to officiate.
