Daniel J. Vosyka

Daniel J. Vosyka Age 86 Iron River, MI Passed away Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Northstar Health System. Born July 30, 1926 in Elmwood Park, IL. The son of the late Edward and Anna (Stangle) Vosyka, he attended the Elmwood Park Elementary School, and graduated from Steinmetz High School, Chicago, Il, in 1946. He was a U.S. Army Airborne Veteran, serving during WW II. Dan married the former Gladys Carlson in 1949 in Norridge, IL, and the couple resided in Chicago, IL, moving to Iron River in 1976. Dan started in carpentry with his father-in-law, Gust Carlson, in Chicago, IL. After the couple moved to Iron River, Dan worked in real estate with his wife, who owned and operated Upstate Realty. Gladys died on April 25, 1999. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Edward Vosyka, Jr. and Eugene Vosyka, and sister, Anita Butera. He is survived by three daughters; Kristina Proksch Gladys Irene Dublinski, Cary, IL Susan (Gary) Law, Richmond, IL Four grandchildren; Adam, Alex, Luke and Spencer One great granddaughter, Cora Entombment will be held Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Iron River City Cemetery.
