David J. Harju

David J. Harju, age 78 of Sullivan, Missouri formerly of Iron River, Michigan passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Washington, MO. David had a lifetime career as a Laboratory Scientist, specializing in toxicology and later in Laboratory Directorship and Administration. David had a large impact on so many of his previous colleagues and they considered him a great teacher, mentor and friend. He was also very charitable and volunteered his time and donations to help others in need. David had a passion for antiques and especially loved restoring classic vehicles and antique clocks and watches. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and was a lover of animals great and small. He was a gentle, kind man and had a great sense of humor and loved sharing stories. His huge loving heart was loved by many and will be missed by his family and friends. Graveside services will be held in the spring in Iron River, Michigan by the Jacobs Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Beechwood, Michigan.
