David L. Ridolphi, 73, of Kingsford, MI, formerly of Iron River, MI, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026.
He was born on December 6, 1952, in Stambaugh, MI, the son of the late Frank and Margaret (Bicus) Ridolphi. He attended the local schools, graduating from West Iron County High School with the Class of 1971.
David married Kathy Schram on June 7, 1980, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Iron River. They celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary this year.
He retired from being a hardworking and ambitious construction worker who was a dedicated member of Local 1329. He was a member of the “Chain Gang” for the West Iron County Wykons and was an unofficial member of the VFW Ottawa Post #3134. David was very involved in his children’s sporting events - and was very proud that he never missed a game -and Dave enjoyed hunting and fishing with his good buddy Steve Stoychoff and having a beer or playing golf with Rick Sabotta. Spending time with his family and grandchildren was most important to him.
David is survived by his wife, Kathy; son, Andy (Aaryn) Ridolphi of Kingsford, MI; daughters, Sarah (Dr. Clay) Shaker of Iron Mountain, MI and Robyn Ridolphi of Bend, OR; grandchildren, Avery, Isabelle, and Charlotte Shaker and Violet and Will Harmon; brother, Duane (Shelley) Ridolphi of Green Bay, WI; sister; Maryjane Warashana of Grand Rapids, MI; brothers-in-law, Jim (Ginny) Schram of Green Bay, WI and Richard (Jesse) Schram of Iron River; sisters-in-law, Peggy Freeman of Kingsford, MI and Debbie (Dr. Robert) Han of Iron River; his companion dog, Chandler; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his stepdad, Mario Contardi, as well as his faithful dogs, Barry and Marley.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron River.
A Liturgy of the Word service will follow at 1 p.m. with Fr. Daniel Fosu to officiate.
