David "Skip" Ritchie

David “Skip” Ritchie, age 83, of Long Lake, WI, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022. He was born on March 15, 1939, in St. Paul, MN, the son of the late David and Edith (Richter) Ritchie. David graduated from Florence High School. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. David married Judith Puckett on September 5, 1959, in Alvin, WI. The couple celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary in 2012. Judith preceded him in death on June 14, 2013. He was employed as the Highway Supervisor for the Town of Long Lake. David had been a member of the Tipler Rescue Squad and the President of the Sportsman Club in Long Lake. He was a gunsmith and enjoyed trap shooting, life in general, and spending time with his family. David is survived by his son, David (Jenna) Ritchie of Rhinelander, WI; daughter, Lee (Thomas) Gorr of Long Lake, WI; brothers, Doug (Pearl) Ritchie and Dale (Cindy) Ritchie, both of Long Lake, WI; sister, Edith Roberts of Long Lake, WI; grandchildren, Daniel (Melissa) Snyder of Green Bay, WI, Joshua (Alicia) Gorr of Green Bay, WI, and Draven and David Ritchie of Rhinelander, WI; great grandchildren, Brady, Boston, Bennett, and Baylee Snyder of Green Bay, WI and Hazel Gorr of Green Bay, WI; special friend, Kathy Barber; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was also preceded in death by brother, Darian Ritchie and sister, Lorraine Schwenn. Private family services will be held.
