Deborah L. Waite

Deborah “Debbie” L. Waite, 72, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay, WI. She was born on January 25, 1952, in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of the late John and Evelyn (Maki) Macki. Debbie attended the local schools, graduating from West Iron County High School with the class of 1970. She attended Northern Michigan University. Debbie married John Waite on October 20, 1984, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Iron River. They celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in 2024. She was employed as a bookkeeper prior to retirement. Debbie enjoyed cooking, tending her flower garden, and spending time with her grandchildren. Debbie is survived by her husband, John; son, Ryan Waite of Otsego, MN; daughter, Rachel Hollatz of Bloomington, MN; grandchildren, Evelynn and Isaac Hollatz; mother-in-law, Bernice Waite of Iron River; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Lawrence, Curt, and Terrance Macki and sister, Janet Harris. Private family services will be held.
