Delina "Del" Liptak, age 103, of Iron River, Michigan passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022, at Yorkshire of Edina in Edina, Minnesota. Del was born on May 31, 1918, in Caspian, Michigan, the daughter of the late Carmela(Parrotta) Elia and stepfather, Basilio Aregoni. She attended the Caspian Grade School and graduated from Stambaugh High School with the class of 1937. Del married the late Robert Liptak on May 24, 1941, at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Gaastra. Del was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian, where she sang in the choir. She was also a member of St. Anne's Society and volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and volunteering. The last 6 years she has lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota to be near her children. She is survived by her son, Ronald James (Carolyn) Liptak of Richfield, Minnesota; daughter, Maria Andrea Liptak of Edina, Minnesota; brother, Arthur (Dorothy) Aregoni of Caspian;grandchildren Andrew (Lisa) Liptak; Nicole (George) Raulerson; great grandchildren, Makayla, Makenzie, Madilyn, Angelina and Sophia. In addition to her mother and stepfather, she was preceded in death by her brother, Pat Aregoni, and sisters, Lucy Hruby, Mary Marcantonio, and Rose Kuzlik. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Caspian with Rev. Jose Cherian to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. The Ladies of St. Anne’s Society will form an honor guard at the service. Interment will be in Stambaugh Cemetery, Iron River in the spring.
