Delores M. Cimarelli

Delores M. Cimarelli, age 93, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at the Iron River Care Center. She was born on November 5, 1929, in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of the late Reino and Lillian (Santti) Viitala and was a lifelong resident of the area. She attended and graduated from the Stambaugh Schools. On January 5, 1946, Delores married Renzo Cimarelli in Stambaugh, and the couple celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary in 2005. Renzo preceded her in death on May 24, 2005. She was a member of the St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River and the Alter Society. Delores loved people and animals and enjoyed working in her yard, cooking, and baking. Family was most important to her. Delores is survived by her two sons, John (Dolly) Cimarelli and David (Jeannie) Cimarelli, both of Iron River; daughter, Julie (Jerry) Harmon of Iron River; sister-in-law, Leda Panick of Caspian, MI; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Linda; sister, Marcia Guzowski; and brother, John Viitala Private family service will be held.
