Dennis T. Salo

Dennis T. Salo, age 68, of Hobart, WI, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014 at his home. He was born November 30, 1945 In Iron River, MI, the son of the late John and Esmeralda (Ask) Salo. He attended the Iron River Schools, graduating from Iron River High School with the Class of 1964. Dennis was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, retiring as a Master Sergeant after 26 years of service. He was a lifetime member of AMVETS and the DAV. He enjoyed his Model T's, collecting cars, and the great outdoors. Dennis is survived by his wife, Heesun; son, Denny Salo; daughters Sarama and Sabrina Teague; brothers, Norman (Shirley) Salo, and Alvin (Marie) Salo; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dean Salo, and sister, Arlene Schram. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 24, 2014 from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 12 noon at the Jacobs Funeral Home, with Rev. Roberta Willison to officiate. Interment will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Beechwood, MI.
