Derrold J. Contardi

Derrold J. Contardi, age 69, of Caspian, MI, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015 at the Iron River Care Center. He was born March 16, 1946, the son of the late Bruno and Elaine (Adrian) Contardi. He attended the Iron River Schools, graduating with the Class of 1964. Derrold married the former Susan Johnson on May 17, 1971 at the First Lutheran Church in Iron River, MI, and the couple made their home in Caspian. They celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary in 1999. Susan preceded him in death in 1999. He enjoyed sports, especially football, and camping. Derrold is survived by his daughters, Tami (Michael) Meisner, Darci (Bryan) Janssen, and Lana Contardi, all of Green Bay, WI; his twin sister, Candace Contardi of Billings, MT, and sisters, Petey Curtis of Crystal Falls, MI, and Sheri (Kevin) Dockery of Garland, TX; four grandchildren, Amanda (PJ) Egan, Alex (Amber) Janssen, Nick (Katie) Meisner, and Gabi Meisner; six great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Richard Contardi. Memorial services will be held Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River, with Rev.
