Diane V. Tomasoski

Diane V. Tomasoski, age 76 of Gaastra, MI, died Friday, July 31, 2009 at the Northstar Health System, Iron River. Born April 21, 1933 in Eau Claire, WI The daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Rogers) Bowman attended the Medford, WI schools and graduated. Diane married Lawrence Tomasoski on June 21, 1953 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Gaastra, and the couple made their home in Gaastra. They celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary in 1989. Lawrence preceded her in death on January 13, 1990. She was employed by the Iron County General Hospital as dietary cook for 20 years, retiring August 12, 1994. Diane was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian, and former member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Gaastra, and a member of St. Ann's Society. She loved listening to Christian music and enjoyed bird watching and crocheting. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and loved her cat Angel. She was also preceded in death by her son Steve, and brothers William and Murray Rogers. She is survived by sons; Daniel (Theresa) Tomasoski of Eagle River, WI Tony (Georgianna) Tomasoski of Iron River Daughters; Jeannie (Bucky) Holm of Gaastra Linda (Calvin) Lindberg of Gaastra Daughter-in-law, Kris Tomasoski of Gaastra Sister, Nellie Harelson of Iron Mountain, MI 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren Numerous nieces and nephews Visitation: Saturday, August 8, 2009 from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. Funeral Service: Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 12 noon at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Caspian with the Rev. George Maki to offer the Mass of Christian Burial.
