Dolores Bonel

Dolores Bonel, age 87, of Iron River, MI, passed away Monday, November 23, 2015 at Up Health System in Marquette. She was born May 19, 1928, the daughter of the late Sydney and Mella (Stebic) Quayle. Upon graduation, she attended business school in Iron River. Dolores married Richard Erickson Jr. in 1947, and he preceded her in death in 1960. She married Julius Bonel in 1961. She worked in the offices of the M.A. Hanna Mining Company until it’s closure in 1981. She enjoyed traveling, doing crafts, hunting, snowmobiling, riding her motorcycle, going to the casino, and spending time with her grandchildren. Dolores is survived by her husband, Julius; daughters, Debbie (John) Ruzzicone of Iron River, and Sue Korus of Honolulu, HI; grandson, Shawn (Melissa) Otto; granddaughters, Heather (Scott Stoychoff) Charbarneau, Dawn (Edward) Dela Cruz, Heidi (Damon) Fraria, and Sommer (Jason Waligursky) Otto; great grandchildren, Joshua, Courtney, Matthew, Dakota, Alana, Evan, Cruz, and Gavin; several nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Gladys Maynard and Marilyn Goriesky. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no services.
