Dolores A. Jurecic

Dolores A. Jurecic, age 84, of Caspian, MI, passed away at home, surrounded by her children, on Friday, July 28, 2017. She was born January 9, 1933 in Caspian, MI, the daughter of the late John and Pauline (Servia) Bilski.   She attended and graduated from the Stambaugh High School, with the Class of 1950. Dolores married Gerald Jurecic on August 24, 1957 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Gaastra, Michigan. The couple celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary in 1992, and Gerald preceded her in death on November 19th of that same year. She was a devoted wife and a loving, caring mother who loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church and St. Anne’s Society. She enjoyed cooking and attending daily mass. Dolores is survived by her sons, Jeffrey (Laura) Jurecic of Fayetteville, GA, Jerry (Roberta) Jurecic of Gwinn, MI and Jay Jurecic of Crystal Falls, MI; daughters, Paula (Todd) Ingram of Gaastra, MI, Pamela (Mike) Andrews of Fort Wayne, IN; grandchildren, Ashley (Ingram) Schober, Chelsea (Ingram) Mitchell, Nicole (Jurecic) Lacis, Lauren (Jurecic) Miller, Jerry Jurecic, Anthony Jurecic, Connor Andrews, Jenay Andrews and Jordan Andrews; step grandchildren, Angela Liberty and Katie Rowe; great grandchildren, Stella Schober, Lila Lacis, Oliver Lacis, Madilee Miller and Mason Miller; 11 step great grandchildren; brother John (Mary Ann) Bilski of Bartlett, IL; sister, Mildred Anderson of Gaastra, MI, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, George Bilski and sister, Genevieve Signorin. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Caspian with Rev. Gregory Veneklase to offer the Mass of Christian burial. Interment will be in Stambaugh Cemetery.
