Dominic L. Brunamonti

Dominic L. Brunamonti, 74, of Caspian, MI, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026.

He was born on September 14, 1951, in Iron River, MI, the son of the late Victor and Ann (Schiavo) Brunamonti. He attended St. Agnes Grade School and the Iron River High School. Dominic was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, serving from 1968 to 1972.

Dominic attended Ferris State College then was employed in the U.S. Merchant Marine for 42 years. First sailing the Great Lakes and later traveling the oceans, making use of the navigation skills learned in the USCG. He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Caspian. He enjoyed fishing all over the world, hunting and spending time outdoors.

Dominic is survived by his brother, Victor (Patricia) Brunamonti of Bloomfield, IN; nephew, Eric (Kim) Brunamonti and their daughters, Elizabeth and Madison; extended family and many good friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church with Fr. Gregory Veneklase to offer the Mass of Christian Burial.

Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery. The West Side Veterans will accord Military Rites at the graveside.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Dominic’s memory to St. Cecilia Catholic Church.
