Donald J. Marinoff

Donald J. Marinoff, age 48, of Beloit, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 7, 2021. He was born on February 3, 1973, in White Pine, MI, the son of Ralph Marinoff and Jean Zielinski. He graduated from Superior High School in Superior, WI with the Class of 1992. Donald married Jennifer Geist on July 7, 2007, in Beloit, WI. The couple celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary this year. He was employed as a cable technician for Spectrum, where he took pride in his work and was very helpful to people. Donald loved music, cars, snowmobiles, four wheeling, and collecting memorabilia. He had an awesome sense of humor and fulfilled his life dream of owning a GMC Typhoon SUV. He also loved his long hair through his whole life. Donald is survived by his wife, Jennifer; mother, Jean Zielinski of Iron River, MI; stepson, Dustin Geist of Beloit, WI; half-brother, Joe Polecheck of Superior, WI; aunt, Arletta “Peaches” Marinoff; nephew, Ethan Polecheck of Minneapolis, MN; numerous cousins and extended family. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joe and Ceceil Zielinski; paternal grandparents, Donald and Sadie Marinoff; stepson, Dillon Geist; uncles, John Zielinski and James, Frank, and Norman Marinoff; and aunts, Bonnie Zielinski and Donna Marinoff. A Liturgy of the Word service will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021, at 11:00 am at Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River with Rev. Jose Cherian to officiate. Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery.
