Donald B. Ripple

Donald B. Ripple, age 81 of Iron River, MI, died Sunday, January 10, 2010 at Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls, MI. He was born February 5, 1928 in Wingham, Ontario, the son of the late Veron and Catherine (Cruickshank) Ripple. Donald married the former Mildred Smith of Iron River on January 24, 1952 in Detroit Michigan. and the couple made their home in Warren Michigan. They moved back to Iron River in July of 2000 to be closer to family. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 2002. Mildred preceded him in death on May 30, 2005. Donald enjoyed collecting coins, and mason jars. Donald was a very passionate reptile lover and enjoyed watching trains and spending time at his cottage. He is survived by his son, Mark (Meg) Ripple of Fenton, MI Daughters; Kathleen Economy of Iron River Jane (David) Huey of Iron River Kelly (Jim) Woodward of Clinton Township, MI Seven grandchildren Seven great grandchildren He was also preceded in death by one daughter Robin Ripple. Visitation: Thursday January 14, 2010 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River Memorial Service will be Thursday January 14, 2010 at 6:00 pm at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River with Pastor Dawn Treado Green to officiate.
