Donald D. Schemehorn

Donald D. Schemehorn, age 72 of Iron River, MI died Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at his home. Born: March 16, 1936 in Merrill, WI The son of the late Raymond and Josephine (Ditsworth) Schemehorn was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran. Donald married the former Hope Voss on April 6, 1957 in DeKalb, IL. They celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 2007. He was employed as a truck driver for Robert A. Johnston Company for 16 years and Jaeger for 15 years prior to his retirement in 1998. After his retirement, the couple moved from Milwaukee to the Iron River area to make their home. He was a member of the Iron River Community Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, weight lifting, feeding the deer, and especially getting together with his friends at the Senior Citizen Center. His most precious possesions were Robbie his poodle and his Bible. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Clayton and Almond Schemehorn and sisters, Lucille Stoltz, Barbara Reifschneider, and Ramona Schemehorn, He is survived by his wife, Hope Sons; Jay Alan Schemehorn of Omaha, NE Rick D. (Wanda) Schemehorn of Vesuvius, VA Terry Jon (Kim) Schemehorn of Milwaukee, WI Daughter, Dawn Ellen Krolski, of Mukwonago, WI Brothers; Oliver Schemehorn Marlin Schemehorn Sisters; Consuelo (Bruce) Kriha Lydia Henke Geraldine Cresse Eleven grandchildren Three great grandchildren Numerous nieces and nephews Visitation: Monday, March 9, 2009 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River Funeral Service: Monday, March 9, 2009 at 1 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River with Rev.
