Donald Thomas Tart, age 46 of Iron River was called into God's loving arms on April 5, 2010 in Longview, TX. Don was born August 22, 1963 to Benjamin and Shirley (Nelson) Tart in Grand Marais, MN. He grew up in Mellon, WI, moving with his family to Iron River in 1978. He joined the Army Reserves in 1981 and graduated from West Iron County High School in 1982. Don worked in the woods with his father and brother as a skidder operator and log truck driver. In 1997 Don started driving over the road, working the last eight years for Powell Trucking out of Antigo, WI. Texas was his favorite run. Don married the love of his life, Juliann (Boehmke) Puskala, on June 11, 2005 and the couple made their home in Stambaugh Township. Don enjoyed playing pool, riding his horses, country music, old westerns, hunting, fishing, and having the boys up for the hunt. He especially enjoyed coaxing his wife out for a ride on his motorcycle. Don was preceded in death by his in-laws, Fred and Julia Boehmke; one nephew, Mikey Johnson; uncles, Sy Pietrowski, Henry Nelson, John Nelson; aunt, Karen Ades; and sister-in-law, Kathy Tart. He will be forever missed by his loving wife, Julie; parents, Ben and Shirley; brother, Ben Tart; sisters, Becky Tart, Cindy (Rich) Mattson, Theresa (Mike) Johnson, and Roberta (Bill) Smet; brothers-in-law, Fred (Rosie) Boehmke, James (Linda) Boehmke, Ron (Marsha) Boehmke, Gerald Boehmke, and Richard (Sue) Boehmke; sister-in-law, Judy (Leo) Beesley; stepdaughters, Heather (Jim) Picotte, Melissa (Dave) Hoban, Brenda (Brian) DeVries, Elizabeth Puskala, and Audra (Nick Steber) Puskala; stepson, Dan (Sara Geyser) Puskala; three step grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and best friend, Ron Takala. ""We Love You Donny""! Visitation will be held Monday, April 12, 2010 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. Funeral services will be held, Monday, April 12, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home with Rev. Norman Clisch to officiate. Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery, Iron River. The West Side Veterans will accord military rites at the graveside. Funeral arrangements by the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
