Doris E. Radtke

Doris E. Radtke, age 92, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at the Greentree of Hubbell Rehab and Health in Hubbell, MI. She was born on May 30, 1927 in Independence, MO, the daughter of the late Monroe and Helen (Littlepage) Buchanan. She attended the Burton, MI schools and graduated. Doris married Darroll Sheffer in Flint, MI. She later married Robert Radtke in Mt. Morris, MI and he preceded her in death. She was employed as a waitress and hostess at Brookwood Golf Course in Flint, MI for 20 years. She enjoyed golfing and spending time with family and friends. Doris is survived by her sons, Bruce Sheffer of Caspian, MI, Martin (Denise) Sheffer of Portland, OR, and Bryan (Jenny) Sheffer of Iron River, MI; daughter Julie (Russell) Saxon of Iron River, MI; 11 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; nephews, James and Jeffrey Buchanan of Menomonie, WI; extended family and friends. She was also preceded in death by her son, Sheldon Sheffer and brother, Arthur Buchanan. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
