Dorothy A. Cailotto, age 80 of Caspian, MI, died Thursday, October 8, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, MN. Born: November 5, 1928 in Bates Twp., MI. The daughter of the late Joseph and Annette (Cieslak) Wilgreen. She attended the Bates school and graduated from Iron River High School in 1946. Dorothy worked at the Sweet Corner Grocery Store during high school. Following graduation she moved to Chicago with her Aunt Mary Cieslak, and worked as a secretary at Libonati Law Firm. She met William Antepenko and they married November 22, 1947 at the Assumption Catholic Church, Iron River. They made their home in Milwaukee, WI. William preceded her in death January 15, 1950 and Dorothy returned to Iron River with her infant daughter to make her home. She then worked at the M.A. Hanna Mining Company office. She met Reno Cailotto and the couple married June 20, 1953 at the Assumption Catholic Church, Iron River. They made their home in Bates until moving to Caspian in 1962. In 1970 Dorothy was employed by the West Iron County Federal Credit Union and continued there for 20 years, retiring in 1990. The couple celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 2003. Reno preceded her in death September 28, 2004. Dorothy's love was her family and she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and was always prepared to serve her family and friends. Dorothy also enjoyed gardening. She was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church and St. Ann's Society. She was also preceded in death by her sister Alice Gagne. Survived by her son: Robert (Joyce) Cailotto, Jacksonville, FL Her daughter: Bonnie (Timothy) Peruzzi, Iron River, MI Nine grandchildren; Laurie (Geoff) Stockero, Cathy Peruzzi, Mark (Mandy) Peruzzi, Gina (Jeff) Camps, Mary (Jonathan) Bofinger, Theresa Peruzzi, Melissa (Jeremy) Pickett, Kristyna Cailotto and Allison Cailotto. Nine great grandchildren, nieces nephews and extended family. Visitation: Tuesday October 13, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. A liturgical prayer service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service: Wednesday October 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Caspian, with Rev. Norman Clisch, pastor, to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. The Ladies of St. Ann's Society will form an honor guard at the funeral service. Interment: Resthaven Cemetery, Iron River. Pallbearers; Mark Peruzzi, Geoff Stockero, Jeff Camps, Steve Gagne, Michael Gagne, and Dave Sankey. Funeral arrangements by the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
