Dorothy A. Delago

Dorothy Delago Age 85 Caspian, MI Passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at her home. She was born January 11, 1927 in Iron River, MI, the daughter of the late Anton and Ursula (Grygelko) Cieciorka. She attended the Iron River Schools, graduating from Iron River High School with the Class of 1944. She was employed by Michigan Bell Telephone Company for several years and later by the West Iron County School System. Dorothy married John ""Jack"" Delago on May 29, 1948 at the Assumption Catholic Church, Iron River, and the couple made their home in Caspian. They celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary in 2009. Jack preceded her in death on August 19, 2009. She was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian, St. Ann 's Society, Rosary Sodality, and a member of MARSP. She is survived by two sons, John (Chris) Delago of Wausau, WI Gary (Jan) Delago of Phoenix, AZ One brother, Stanley, Cieciorka of Iron River Three grandchildren, Jason, Jennifer and Shanon Great grandson, Jesse and great granddaughter, Sofia She was also preceded in death by her brother , John and sisters, Edna, Josephine, Joann, Agnes, Cecelia and Bernice. Visitation: Saturday, October 27, 2012 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home Iron River. Funeral Service: Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Cecilia 's Catholic Church, Caspian with Rev. Gregory Veneklase to offer the Mass of Christian burial. The Ladies of St. Ann 's Society and the Rosary Sodality will form an honor guard at the service. Interment: Stambaugh Cemetery, Iron River, MI. Donations may be made in Dorothy 's name to Northstar Home care and Hospice, 1400 W. Ice Lake Road, Iron River, MI 49935. Funeral arrangements were by the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River.
