Dorothy M. Meyer

Dorothy M. Meyer, age 92, of Iron River, Michigan, passed away September 26, 2016. She was born September 24, 1924, the daughter of the late Andrew and Victoria (LaVigne) Trepanier. She attended the Stambaugh High School. Dorothy married Morris B. Meyer, Sr. on February 23, 1946, and the couple were lifelong residents of the area. They celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary in 2005. Morris preceded her in death on August 13, 2005. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, painting and traveling. Dorothy is survived by her son, Morris (Janice) Meyer, Jr. of Iron River, MI; daughters, Judy (Louren) Anderson of Mequon, WI, Laurie Hytry of West Jordan, UT and Maureen (William) Messana of Walnut Creek, CA; ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Private family services will be held. Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery.
