Dorothy Verville

Dorothy L. Verville Age 87 Iron River, MI Passed away Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Iron Count Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls. She was born April 9, 1925 in Crystal Falls, MI, the daughter of the late William and Delia (Plourde) Jarvis. She attended the Crystal Falls Schools, graduating from Crystal Falls High School with the Class of 1943. She was employed as Iron County Deputy Treasurer for 10 years. Dorothy married Robert Verville on September 15, 1945 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church of Crystal Falls. Robert preceded her in death in 1978. Dorothy was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River, the Altar Society, and and active member of the American Legion Auxiliary . She was the Upper Peninsula Auxiliary Person of the Year in 2012. She enjoyed catering and repairing dolls, operating a doll hospital for many years. She is survived by her sons, Tom (Gloria) Verville of Grand Rapids, MI Terry (Renee) Verville of Iron River Dwaine (Sue) Verville of Iron River 13 grandchildren 12 great grandchildren She was also preceded in death by brothers, Arthur, Clarence and Lyle Jarvis and sisters, Margaret King, Adeline King, Carol Peterson and Rita Voss. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 8, 2012 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the Gathering Room of St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River, with Rev. Gregory Veneklase to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Pallbearers will be Dorothy 's grandchildren, Jacques, Mason, Chris, Rob, Scott and Shaun Verville. Honorary pallbearer will be Tim Verville Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery, Iron River.
