Dorothy A. Wagner

Dorothy A. Wagner, age 78, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Aspirus Iron River Hospital. She was born on November 2, 1945, in Isabella, MI, the daughter of the late Henry and Violet (Sundin) LeGault. She attended the Isabella Schools and graduated. Dorothy married Bruce Wagner on July 8, 1967, at the Isabella Community Church. The couple celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary this year. She attended the First Baptist Church. Dorothy enjoyed going to the Senior Center. She loved to decorate, paint pictures, go shopping, and collect shoes. She also loved all the mementos that she collected throughout the years, especially her dolls. Dorothy was always so happy to see everyone, and she would say “I missed you” and you always knew she did. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Bruce; sons, Tony (Ronda) Wagner of Lake in the Hills, IL and Eric (Miriam) Wagner of Elgin, IL; daughters, Michele (Kenney) Wilson of Iron River, MI and Christine (Chad) Johnson of Oswego, IL; brothers, Blaine (Kathy) LeGault and Donald LeGault; sisters, Gloria Herod, Gail (Dennis) Johnivan, and Caroline (Sheldon) Bassnet; grandchildren, Raquel Cahill, Jimmy Cahill, Jennifer Wagner, Leann Wagner, Lucas Wagner, Kennedy Wagner, Frankie Difiore, and Kristina Wilson; great grandchildren, Brody Cahill, Braelynn Cahill, Silas Kushion, Taylor Wilson, Anabella Frish, Paislee Frish, and Hayden Wagner; nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Al Smith to officiate.
