Dr. Harold Steven Cline, of Iron River, MI, passed away on January 7, 2026, at the age of 74 after a lengthy illness.

Dr. Cline was born in Wichita Falls, TX on January 27, 1951, to Henry “Bink” and Ruth Cline, where he joined a sister, Cathy and a brother, Gene.

Dr. Cline’s medical career started in 1990 in the U.S. Navy where he was a medical officer who worked with the U.S. Marine Corp. during Desert Storm in Kuwait. Dr. Cline achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander before being honorably discharged in 2001. After being discharged, he became a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and continued his education with a fellowship in sports medicine. Dr. Cline has been published in several medical journals and was in a constant quest to gain knowledge in his field of expertise.

Steve is survived by his wife Mary Anne, sons Marc Cline and Bink Cline, brother Gene Cline, and nephews Christopher and James Cline.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, mother, and sister.

At Dr. Cline’s request a private service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to the American Legion of Iron River in Steve’s name.

Dr. Cline loved being a surgeon and truly loved the opportunity to care for his patients.
