Dwaine R. Verville

Dwaine R. Verville, age 61, of Iron River, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Aspirus Iron River Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born March 22, 1954, the son of the late Robert and Dorothy (Jarvis) Verville. He attended the West Iron County Schools and graduated in 1972. Dwaine married the former Susan Rymkos on March 17, 1973 in Iron River and they were lifelong residents of the area. He was employed as a mechanic by Shamco Inc. for 25 years. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River and the Sons of American Legion Squadron #17, serving as Detachment Commander for the State of Michigan 2011 - 2012.  An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, trapping and hunting.   Dwaine is survived by his wife Sue; sons, Christopher (Kelly) Verville of Iron River, and Rob (Jessie) Verville of Rockford, MI; daughter, Carrie (Dennis) Powell of Sandpoint, ID; brothers, Thomas (Gloria) Verville of Grand Rapids, MI, and Terry (Renee) Verville of Iron River; grandchildren, Austin, Alex, Amber, Gage, Jasmin and Angela. Visitation will be held Monday, 21, 2016 from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. The Sons of the American Legion will be present at the visitation. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church with Rev. Gregory Veneklase to offer the Mass of Christian Burial.
