Edith J. Nebel Age 81 Paynesville, MI Passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls, MI. She was born April 18, 1931 in Paynesville, MI, the daughter of Gust and Anna (Ranta) Niemi. She graduated from Ewen High School with the Class of 1949, and following graduation attended Northern Michigan University in Marquette. Edith was a member of the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Paynesville. She enjoyed doing embroidery. She is survived by her sons, Roger (Nancy James) Nebel of Washington D.C. Donald (Marie) Nebel of Portage, IN Brother, Arvid (Carol) Niemi of Bruce Crossing, MI Sisters, Ann (Ron) Kananen of Gladstone, MI Florence Clark of Bruce Crossing,, MI Eva (Rodney) Young of Fairfax, VA Five grandchildren Nieces, nephews and extended family She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Jack Nebel, brothers, Waino, John, Arne, Victor, and William Niemi, and sister, Martha Johnson Funeral services will be held in the spring, with time and date to be announced.
