Edna C. Howell

Edna C. Howell, age 85 of Iron River, MI, formerly of Tipler, WI, died Tuesday April 21, 2009 at Portage Pointe at Portage Health, Hancock, MI Born: March 16, 1924 in Argonne, WI The daughter of the late William and Martha (Schultz) Krause attended the Argonne schools and graduated. She married Lester Howell on December 3, 1948 in Argonne, WI and the couple moved to Tipler, WI to make their home. Lester preceded her in death in 2001. Edna then moved to Iron River. Edna was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church,Tipler, WI where she also taught Sunday school for several years. She was a member of AARP, and she served on the board of the Iron River Housing Commission. She loved embroidery and sewing. She was also preceded in death by five brothers; Lawrence, Oran, Arnold, William, and Warren, and four sisters; Emma, Alma, Martha, and Hanna. She is survived by three sons; Ronald Howell, Lena, WI Roger Howell, Cody, WY Robert Howell, Calumet, MI Two step-sons; Jerry (Julie) Howell, West Plaines, MO David (Nancy) Howell, Sheboygan, WI Two sisters; Dorothy Robards, South Dakota Rose Krueger, Rhinelander, WI Eleven grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren Numerous nieces and nephews Memorial Service: Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River with the Rev.
