Edward C. Jones

Edward C. Jones, age 75, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at UP Health System, Marquette, MI. He was born on January 20, 1949, in Stambaugh, MI, the son of the late Clifford Jones and Stella (Swenski) Jones. Edward attended the Stambaugh Schools. He served in the U.S. Army. Edward married Karen Stetler on November 3, 1977, in Ontonagon, MI. The couple celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary in 2018. Karen preceded him in death on June 30, 2019. He was employed as a roofer before retiring. Edward enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and the outdoors. He enjoyed going to the local restaurants and working with ham radios. Edward is survived by his brothers, Thomas Jones of Copper Harbor, MI and Michael Jones of Iron River, MI: sisters, Patricia Misoni and Susan (Jerry) Dahl, both of Iron River, MI and Mari (Bill) Mork of Marshfield, WI; many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and special friends; son, Dave Dooley of Crystal Falls, MI; stepson, Frank Kranick; stepdaughter, Tammy Dinser;. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dan Waters to officiate. Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery in the spring. The West Side Veterans will accord Military Rites at the graveside.
