Both preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by sisters Hildur (Lindgren) Nault, Anna (Lindgren) Komarek, Judith (Lindgren) Zemlicka and his brother, Robert Lindgren. Many nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews, survive him. They will all miss him and will treasure the memories of his visits to Milwaukee for holidays and vacations. Eddie, as everyone called him, was born in Stambaugh, Michigan on September 6, 1921. He was a lifelong resident of Stambaugh and Iron River and resided at Sunset Manor from 1983 until becoming a resident of the Iron River Care Center in June of 2008. He worked for the City of Iron River for many years, until his retirement in 1981. Eddie was a lifelong and devoted member of Grace Covenant Church in Iron River. He served as head usher for many years and was a diligent and reliable worker around the church, from keeping the sidewalks cleared of snow to lighting the sanctuary candles. Eddie had a refreshing enthusiasm for life and enjoyed keeping a watchful eye on all the activities taking place in the community. A memorial service will be scheduled in May with the date and time to be announced. The family suggests that memorials be made to Grace Covenant Church.
