Edwina M. Ritchie

Edwina M. Ritchie, age 86, of Long Lake, WI, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. She was born June 15, 1931 in Knot County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Hiram and Martha (Young) Martin. Edwina married Evert Ritchie on November 30, 1945 and the couple were lifelong residents of the area. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in 2010. Evert preceded her in death on August 31, 2011. She enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking, baking, visiting with family, and listening to Christian programs. Edwina is survived by her children, Wanda (Dennis), James (Lisa), Rockford (Kalene), Loretta (Roger), Michael (Lauyana), Mark (Barb), Brian (Kim), and Jonathan (Lia); son-in-law Craig; sisters, Ella, Bonnie, Genevieve, Gladys, and Monnie; brother, Jack and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and extended family. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Christine; grandson, Christopher; granddaughter, Kayla; great grandson, Luke; sister, Judy; brothers, Ed and Arthur; and daughter-in-law, Linda. Interment will be in Martin Cemetery in Tipler, Wisconsin. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Gary White to officiate.
