Edythe Ritchie, age 102, of Long Lake, WI, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Aspirus Ironwood Hospital in Ironwood, MI. She was born on December 2, 1917 in Rolla, ND, the daughter of the late Cyril and Carol (Crombie) Richter. She attended schools in Minnesota as well as North Central Bible College in Minneapolis. She moved to the Long Lake area in 1936. On September 24, 1936, she married David Ritchie in Crystal Falls, MI. The couple celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary in 2000, before David’s passing on December 10, 2000. Throughout the years, she ministered in Long Lake, Alvin, Kenosha, and Maple Grove. She was founder of the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of God in 1985. Her hobbies included oil painting and needlework. She is survived by her sons, Douglas (Pearl) Ritchie, David Ritchie, and Dale (Cindy) Ritchie, all of Long Lake; daughter, Edythe “Cookie” Roberts of Long Lake, WI; 24 grandchildren; and 54 great grandchildren; and 39 great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Lionel Winston; sister, Carol Darden; daughter, Lorrayne C. Schwenn; son, Darian Ritchie; granddaughters, Sandra Ritchie and Darriann Ritchie-Cash; and great granddaughter, Kelsey Belman. Private services will be held.
