Elayne M. Vezzetti

Elayne M. Vezzetti, age 82, of Roseburg, OR, formerly of Iron River, MI and Farmington, MO passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Peace Health Hospital in Eugene OR after a brief illness. She was born August 31, 1932 in Gaastra, MI, the daughter of the late Boleslaw and Katherine (Glowaty) Bartczak. She attended the Stambaugh Schools. Elayne married Calvin J. Vezzetti on February 12, 1949 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Gaastra, and the couple made their home in Iron River and Farmington, MO, prior to moving to Roseburg, OR in the early 1980’s. The couple celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary in 2012. Calvin preceded her in death on October 21, 2012. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, cooking, gardening, and ice cream. Elayne had a good sense of humor and delighted in telling a story or joke. Elayne is survived by her son, David (Carol) Vezzetti of Arnold, MO; daughters, Judi (Tom) Crouch of St. Louis, MO, and Angela (Rick) Peacor of Eugene, OR; three grandchildren, Erin (Steve) Stout, Emily (Vince) Fels, and Helena Peacor; two great grandchildren, Dakota and Canyon Stout She was also preceded in death by her son, Curtis Vezzetti, brother, Casimer Bartczak, and sister, Stella Lichowid. Graveside Services will be held at Resthaven Cemetery in the spring. Memorial contributions may be made to the Iron County Historical Museum and the American Cancer Society.
