Elizabeth "Betty" J. Johnson

Elizabeth “Betty” J. Johnson, age 80, of Iron River, MI, passed away Monday, May 8, 2017 at her home. She was born February 20, 1937 in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of the late Valenty and Anna (Wercinski) Byczek. She was a member of the former Catholic Assumption Church of Iron River. She enjoyed collecting Precious Moments figurines, going to rummage sales, and playing cards and dice. Betty is survived by her sons, Michael (Tina) Johnson of Menominee, MI, Chris Johnson of Iron River, MI, and Josh (Samantha Price) Johnson of Iron River, MI; sister, Dolores Smith of Roseburg, OR; sisters-in-law, Dolly (Saxon) Byczek and Betty (Kangas) Petroski, both of Iron River; 5 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 3 great, great grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anna and Valenty Byczek; brothers and sisters and their spouses: Chester (Vivian), Felix (Margie), Leo (Lottie), Edward Petroski, Lorraine (Edwin) Andre; sister, Janice Petroski; brother, Robert Byczek Sr. Also preceding her in death were her brothers: Edward, Frank, Chester, Stanley, Walter, John and Valenty “Billy” Byczek; and sisters and their spouses: Stacia (Chester) Rae, Frances (Howard) Segebarth, Marian (John) Donovan, and Eleanor (Jim) Sherlock.
