Ellen I. Harris-Wallo

Ellen I. Harris-Wallo, age 75, of Caspian, MI, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016 at her home. She was born January 3, 1941 in Tipler, WI, the daughter of the late Lester J. and Myrtle (Graves) Boodry.   Ellen married Rev. Perl Harris in February, 1970, and he preceded her in death. In November 1987, Ellen married Robert J. Wallo, and he preceded her in death. She enjoyed crocheting, fishing, camping, going for walks, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.  Ellen is survived by her children, Arnold “Arnie” (Jennifer Watkins) Harris of Iron River, Arlene (John) Harris of Iron River, and Lester Boodry of Georgia; step-daughter, Arloene (Bertil) Johnson of Carney, MI; brother, David Braybank of Kentucky; sister, Lila (Dean) Culver of Eagle River, WI; Evan, Holden, Trey, Mercedes, and many other grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was also preceded in death by her son, Dale Paffrath; step-son, Aubrey Harris; step-daughter, Ruth Melnarick; brother, Raymond Boodry; sisters, Mary King, and Kathleen Lundean. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the Grace Covenant Church of Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. with Rev. James Swanson II to officiate.
