Ellsworth C. Anderson, age 78, Iron River, MI, died Tuesday October 30, 2007 at the Marquette General Hospital, Marquette, MI. Born: March 16, 1929 in Iron River. The son of the late Carl and Sophia (Kneebach) Anderson was a lifelong resident. He attended the Iron River schools, and graduated from Iron River High School in 1947. He was a Corporal in the U.S. Army serving in transportation in Japan in 1951 and 1952. After his honorable discharge from the service, he bought his brother Lester's gas station, and was owner/operator of Anderson's Service in Iron River until his retirement in 2003. His work was his life. Ellsworth loved his family and was an avid Detroit Lions and Tigers fan. He was preceded in death by four Brothers: Vincent, Lester, Clinton and Wallace Anderson. He is survived by his sister, Norma Zorzin of Caspian, MI Nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews Visitation: Saturday, November 3, 2007 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. Funeral Service: Saturday, November 3, 2007 at 11:00 at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River with the Rev Dawn Treado-Green to officiate. Pallbearers: Jack Ross, Jake Wurzer, Randy Thunander, Steve Zorzin, Jerry Lindahl, and Mark Misoni. Interment: Resthaven Cemetery, Iron River.
