Erin M. Bengry

Erin M. Bengry, age 42, of Iron River, MI, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 27, 2021. She was born February 5, 1979, in Crystal Falls, MI, the daughter of Brian E. Bengry and the late Jayne M. (Waino) Swanson. Erin attended and graduated from the West Iron County Schools. She went on to attend Gogebic College for a degree in business, then continued on to the Sierra Nevada University for Ski Area Management. Then pursued her career at the Breckenridge Ski Resort where she flourished with this new career. After this she came home to Iron River to start her family. Erin enjoyed snowboarding, spending time on the lake, fishing, boating, and swimming. Erin is survived by her significant other, Jody Hansen of Iron River, MI; daughter, Peyton Hansen; sons, Rueben Bengry and Morgan Hansen; sisters, Heather Bengry and Chelsea (Kenny) Swanson; brothers, Joseph and Joshua Bengry; nephew, Izaya Bengry; niece, Izabella Splitt; father, Brian (Sara) Bengry; aunt, Lois (Glenn) Heikkila; uncle, David (Anita) Waino; uncle, Bruce Waino; cousins, Richelle (Ryan) Waligursky, Ashley Heikkila, and Nikki (Eddie) Puckett; and special friend and sister-in-law, Carol (Blaine) Rivard; and brothers-in-law, Vern (Suzie) Hansen and Pete (Jenny) Hansen.
