Ervin Dinco

Ervin ""Ponch"" Dinco, age 89 of Iron River, MI, died Saturday, February 7, 2009 at his home. Born: January 12, 1920 in Marquette County, MI The son of the late Joseph and Albina Dinco attended the Iron River schools, graduating in 1938. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. Joseph married the former Florence Brey and the couple made their home in Iron River. Florence preceded him in death. He was a member of the VFW and enjoyed hunting and especially spending time on the water fishing. He was also preceded in death by his brothers; Dario, Alfred, Peter, and Joseph, and sister Irene Rutherford. He is survived by his brother Robert Dinco of Falmouth, MA Sisters; Mary Kaufman of San Diego, CA Ruth Ogle of Camarillo, CA Katherine Smith of Camarillo, CA Rose (Edward) Zilbert of Los Angeles, CA Josephine (Frank) Kopenski of Milwaukee, WI Brother-in-law, James Rutherford Extended family and friends Memorial services will be held in the spring with the West Side Veterans to accord military rites.
