Esther Kyllonen

Esther I Kyllonen Age 97 Iron River, MIDied Friday, November 25, 2011 at Northstar Health System, Iron River. Born: February 9, 1914 in High Bridge, WI The daughter of the late Hjalmer and Ann Elson attended the North York Schools. She married Wayne Elmer Kyllonen on June 1, 1940 in Marengo, WI and the couple were lifelong residents of the the Iron River area. They celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1990. Wayne preceded her in death on March 4, 1991. Esther was a member of the Finnish Apostolic Lutheran Church of Iron River. She enjoyed cooking, baking rye bread, and going fishing. She loved to go in the sauna and especially liked spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Hjalmer, Sulo, Edward, William and Walter, sisters, Anna Mattson, Helen Elson and Olga Elson, and grandson, Michael John Pauna. She is survived by three sons, David (Betty) Kyllonen of Caspian Kenneth Kyllonen of Iron River Richard (Tracee) Kyllonen of West De Pere, WI Two daughters, Nancy Pauna of Ishpeming, MI Elaine Alongo of Vancouver, WA Nine grandchildren, Lisa, Charles, Richie, Eric, James, Carol, Michele, Jodee, and Ryan Sixteen great grandchildren Visitation: Monday, November 28, 2011 from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
