Ethel Larson

Ethel Larson Age 87 Iron River, MI Passed away Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Northstar Health System, Iron River. Ethel was born September 2, 1925 in Biggar, Saskatchewan, the daughter of the late Gus and Ann (Twanow) Greekas. Ethel married Alford J. Larson on August 28, 1954 at the Ryerson United Church in Vancouver, B.C., Canada and the couple made their home in Bates Township, Sunset Lake. They celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary in 2008. Alford preceded her in death on March 10, 2009. Ethel was a member of the Lady Elks, Eastern Star and the 20th Century Club. She enjoyed gardening, needlepoint and making wooden purses. She also loved to cook. She is survived by her son, Paul (Rena) of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada Three step-grandchildren Eleven step-great grandchildren Many nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Arthur and John, and sister, Helen Visitation: Thursday, October 18, 2012 from 9:30 to 10:45 at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River.
