Eula E. Camps

Eula E. Camps, age 95, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the Aspirus Iron River Hospital. She was born September 17, 1921 in Owen, WI, the daughter of the late Albert and Clara (Frantz) Schafer. She attended and graduated from the Owen High School. Eula married Arnold Camps on January 17, 1942 in Chicago, IL. The couple celebrated 59 years together, before Arnold preceded her in death in 2001. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church of Iron River. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning, hunting, cutting the grass and working jigsaw puzzles. Eula is survived by her sons, Edward (Janice) Camps of Caspian, MI, Gerald (Patricia) Camps of Neenah, WI and Rodney (Debbie) Camps of Iron River, MI; grandchildren, Curtis (Teri) Camps, Daniel (Melanie) Camps, Christy (Lance) Thompson, Heather (James) Cannon, Ryan (Samantha) Camps and Jason (Jenna) Camps; great grandchildren, Alyssa, Ashley, Tyler, Logan, Nathan, Kali, Harrison, Haydon, Jameson, Cienna, Morgan, Alex and Abby; great, great grandchildren, Mason and Madison; brother, Eugene (Pearl) Schafer of Eau Claire, WI; sister, Alice Lofgren of Eau Claire, WI and many nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Camps; brother, Percy Schafer; and sisters, Winifred Wall and Anita Schultz. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Rev.
