Eunnice J. Zwach

Eunnice J. Zwach, age 106, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2023, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls, MI. She was born on April 11, 1917, in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of the late John and Jennie (Berg) Westman. She attended the Stambaugh Schools, graduating with the Class of 1935. Eunnice married Raymond Zwach on August 19, 1944 at the First Lutheran Church in Iron River and made their home in Stambaugh, MI. They celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary in 2011 before Raymond’s passing on December 13, 2011. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Iron River. She loved to bake and cook, spend time with her grandchildren and ride her exercise bike. Eunnice is survived by her daughters, Elaine (Jim) Bristow of Livonia, MI and Carol (Tom) Pruente of Waterford, MI; grandchildren, Jeff Bristow, Dan (Melissa) Bristow, and Tom (Maggie) Ging,, Katie (Andrew) Kees, and Victoria (Mike Holloway) Ging;, great grandchildren, Riley, Griffin, Henry, Wyatt Bristow and Maisie Ging; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Earl, Paul, Willis, and infants, Carl and John Westman and sisters, Florence Erickson, Bernice Nystrom, Ruth Champion, Alice Baker, Virginia Erickson, and infant Hazel Westman. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church of Iron River.
