Eve I. Rawnick, 93, of Menominee, MI, passed away on July 29, 2025, at Aurora Medical Center Bay Area in Marinette, WI.
Eve was born on March 1, 1932, in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of the late John and Stella (Hahn) Stebic. Eve attended and graduated from the Crystal Falls Schools, with the Class of 1950.
Eve married Frank E. Rawnick on June 16, 1956, at St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River and the couple had four children. They celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary in 2012, before Frank’s passing on July 23, 2012.
Eve worked for the County of Menominee for 20 years as Deputy Register of Deeds, retiring in 1992. She then worked for the Younkers Department Store for 11 years in Marinette, WI.
She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River and Resurrection Church of Menominee, MI. Eve enjoyed spending summers at their cabin on Robinson Lake. She was an avid reader and enjoyed all of nature—including fishing, swimming, and gardening. Eve loved and enjoyed the company of all her family and friends around the Lake and elsewhere.
Eve is survived by her children, Theresa (Phil) Deethardt of Green Bay, WI, Frank J. Rawnick of Menominee, MI, Bob (Denise) Rawnick of Centerville, OH, and Jim (Teresa) Rawnick of Palm Bay, FL; sisters, Joan, Gladys, and Donna; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers, John and Joseph and sisters, Lillian, Rose, Mary, June, Mabel, and Nellie.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the fall; details to follow.
Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery, Iron River.
