Frances (Perlongo) Dally

Frances (Perlongo) Dally, age 85, died January 17, 2008 at Marion General Hospital, Marion, OH. She was born July 8, 1922 in Dune Mine to the late Dominick and Maria ""Mary"" (Carwita) Perlongo. On February 28, 1944 she married Lyle Elmore Dally in Napoleon. The couple moved to Marion from Ann Arbor in 1979. Her husband preceded her in death on October 2, 1997. She was also preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. She loved her big family, each member in a special way. She loved to cook and bake and passed that love on to her daughter and niece. She was a fabulous knitter. Many people have her work in the form of booties, slippers, sweaters, or blankets. She was a member of St. Mary parish in Marion. She is survived by a son, Donald J. (Kitty) of Fairfield Glade, TN; a daughter, Bonnie (William) Sinnott of Marion; beloved niece Denise (Jim) Howell of Lewisburg, WV; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews; and sisters, Mary Johns of Gaastra, Jennie Viery of Chesapeake, VA, and Stella Bray of Ann Arbor. A funeral mass was held on January 21, 2008 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Denis Kigosi officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Father Furey or Jennifer Miley Scholarship Fund. Graveside services will be held in the spring at Stambaugh Cemetery.
