Fredrick O. Brusseau

Fredrick ""Fred"" O. Brusseau, age 86 of Iron River, MI, died Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at his home. Born: May 24, 1923 in Amasa, MI The son of the late Oscar T. and Lena M. (Premo) Brusseau attended the Amasa schools and graduated. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, serving in the European, African, Middle Eastern Theater. He was employed as a miner by the M.A. Hanna Mining Company for over 20 years. Fred married the former Ann Giacomino and she preceded him in death on March 7, 1979. He was a member of the VFW Ottawa Post #3134 of Iron River. Fred enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watchmaking. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Raymond, Howard, Clyde, Leon, Kenneth, and Ellsworth and sisters Joyce Green and Bethel Phalen.
