Gale J. Holm

Gale J. Holm, age 69, of Iron River, MI, passed away surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, July 25, 2022. He was born on October 17, 1952, in Stambaugh, MI, the son of Jane (Johnson) Holm and the late Morries Holm. He graduated from West Iron County High School with the class of 1970. Gale married Sheila Robinson on August 11, 1990, in Slinger, WI. They celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary in 2021. He installed security systems for financial institutions. Gale was a member of First Lutheran Church and Golden K. He volunteered at the Iron County Cancer Unit and the hospital auxiliary. He also enjoyed camping, watching and attending NASCAR races and Green Bay Packers games, traveling, and spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Gale is survived by his wife, Sheila; daughter, Jennifer Secord of Iron River, MI; son, Michael Cina of Hartford, WI; brothers, Dale (Josephine) Holm and Steve (Kathy) Holm, both of Iron River, MI, and Bruce Holm of Ishpeming, MI: grandchildren, William and Jackson Secord of Iron River, MI and Scarlett Cina of Hartford, WI; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Maureen Wilson. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Iron River. A memorial service will follow at 12 p.m. with Pastor Matthew Short to officiate. Interment will be at a later date in Rosehill Cemetery, Beechwood, MI.
