Gary W. Buhro, Sr.

Gary W. Buhro, Sr, age 70, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021. He was born on January 29, 1951 in Detroit, MI, the son of the late Frank W. and Elinor (Birch) Buhro. He attended the Detroit Schools, graduating from Cody High School. Gary married Deborah Carley on September 3, 1970 in Detroit, MI. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2020. He was employed as a technician for Michigan Bell and Ameritech for 45 years. Gary enjoyed hunting, bowling, fishing, and golfing. He was a huge supporter of his children in their sporting endeavors and was always at their games and meets. Deborah and Gary were the “Team Mom and Dad”. Gary is survived by his wife, Deborah Buhro of Iron River, MI; daughter, Chris (Christopher) Urda of Georgia; son, Gary W. Buhro, Jr. of Westland, MI; daughter, Brenda Buhro of Westland, MI; his beloved pets, Bo and Hope; grandchildren, Dalton (Drew) and Julia Urda; siblings Patty (Joe) Radtka, Ray Buhro, Cathy (Mark) Chidester, Debbie (Dale) Stupyra, Denise (Pat) Wilkerson, Ronnie (Gale) Buhro, Donnie (Grace) Buhro, Frank (Chuck) Buhro, James Buhro, George (Stacey) Buhro, Michelle (Dawn) Smith, and Ellie (Brian) Rupnow; the Birch and Mitchell families; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
